What a fantastic night! WVU beat Clemson to capture the 2007 NIT Championship! Pop the cork on the champagne (I actually did while talking with Anne!) What a wonderful conclusion to the 2007 season! Could it have been sweeter if the Mountaineers got their dance card punched for the NCAA Tournament. Yes. But who would have thought going into this season the Mountaineers could have come so far! God bless John Beilein...and Frank Young!
Wow! What a tournament he had! Averaged 22.6 points in the post-season. Shot better from the 3 than the floor (68.5% vs. 63.9%). And in the championship game - he was 7 of 10 overall including 6 of 7 from 3! Money!
Coach Beilein is 6-0 vs. ACC teams since coming to West Virginia. Gotta love that! I certainly do!!!
Only blemish on the evening was that the printer can't spell. Seriously. Why is it that this sort of crap always seems to be happening to West (by God) Virginia - and not to UVA or Virginia Tech? Good Grief!
