WVU fans may have remembered the NIT printing gaff...
Old Navy has upped the ante. While they didn't go the classic misspelling of "West Virginia"...they screwed the pooch royally...and to multiple institutions when someone in their graphics department skipped out on the grammar lesson that reviewed contractions.
Old Navy has printed up a series of shirts with "Lets [plural] Go XYZ" times 15 schools: WVU, Univ. of Washington, Univ. of Kentucky, UCLA, Univ. of Iowa, USC, Univ. of Illinois, Michigan, Univ. of Oregon, Univ. of Texas, Minnesota, Univ. of Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Washington State Univ. (at least those are the ones still listed on their website as of 3PM on Thursday!)
Maybe because the shirts are for the 'little women' they didn't think it mattered??? Who knows! Awful gaff...
According to the LA Times, Old Navy is scrambling to reprint the shirts. Geek Dad posted earlier today that the apostrophe had been added to the description of the shirt, but the image is still showing the error...same is true as of 3 PM...
Good grief!

Thankful Thursday
- My funny Elizabeth (stories to follow!)
- My beautiful Baby Cate
- My fabulous and hard-working husband, Reid
- My over-the-top awesome Mom, who does my windows and laundry (among other things)
- My puppy, Kennedy, except when she whines every 45 minutes to go outside in this ridiculously cold weather
I'm thankful for a ton more, just couldn't remember when I did a Thankful Thursday post -- and we're getting ready to head out the door shortly to watch the #1 Hilltoppers, so it had to be a quicky!
Funny Elizabeth Stories:
When we were getting in the car from picking up dinner at Subway this evening, Elizabeth and I have the following conversation:
E: Mommy, when I'm bigger I'm going to have a boyfriend.
Me: Who is going to be your boyfriend?...Campbell (Koegler)???
E: Maybe...
Me: John Wolosinczuk???
E: Yes! After I break up with Campbell, it's going to be John Wolosinczuk!
I love how she is already planning for being a heart breaker!!!
When we pulled in the driveway this evening, she noticed the Ritzes in their kitchen and said that she could see her neighbor -- he was watching TV. I asked her if he was watching iCarly. E responded, "No, Mommy. Big people don't watch iCarly -- they watch the boring news!"

Thankful Thursday
Today I'm thankful to/for/about:
- A tot that makes me laugh (and quite a few others, so I'm told!) A couple of weeks ago, when Grandma was here, I was spelling out a word that I didn't want her to catch on to like C-A-N-D-Y. Elizabeth didn't like that she was being excluded from that part of the conversation and told me, "Mommy, don't say it like A-D-C-X-W-Y-Z. That's not very nice!" Or like this past weekend when she was staying at Grandma's house, she strips down out of her PJ's telling Grandma, "I get naked and dance." She's just a pair of light-up clear heels and a pole away from being a stripper. Wait, I need to correct that...a pole away from being an "exotic" dancer. (She has clear light-up princess heels thanks to Caylin Marie!)
- A thoughtful girl who told me that I wanted ribbit cupcakes for my birthday. We made them (rainbow cupcakes, actually), and they are quite adorable - photos below.
- A fabulous and talented husband. He debuted on CBS-C as a sideline reporter February 28th and was fan-freaking-tastic! I was so proud of him!!! And last week, he completed his 7th year of broadcasting the entire WVIAC tournament in Charleston...that is 14 games in 4 days...he did play-by-play on all but 2 games. And, I don't think I've blogged about his new position at West Liberty. He's now the Executive Director, Office of Communications for West Liberty soon-to-be University! He's the bomb!
- Picnics. E's been having a love-affair with having picnics this week. We celebrated my birthday with a picnic dinner. Too precious.
- The health of my dear Alpha Gam friend, Amy Speck Vinton (and Billy Vinton's) little baby. Alexandria Morgan "Alex" Vinton, born at 2:29 PM, on March 3rd - weighing in at 8 lbs., 15 oz. and was 21 inches long. A few hours after Alex was born, she was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital (Kansas City, KS) because of an abdominal mass in her stomach. Amy found out 2 weeks prior about Alex's condition - the doctors thought it was some type of ovarian cyst. Alex had exploratory surgery the next day, where 250 ml of fluid from a cyst (the equivalent of a can of Pepsi) was removed from her tummy. They kept Alex for a few more days to watch her, but now she is home and doing great!
- That I got a great birthday present -- the Mountaineers upsetting Pitt in the Big East Tournament 74-60! Woo Hoo! Let's Gooooo Mountaineers!!!

Things That Make You Go Hmmmm?
Anyone who thinks that John McCain is a viable option to be the next President...especially in light of the vetting process for Sarah Pallin - wow! The Christian Conservatives must be banging their collective heads against a wailing wall somewhere...

Why we seem to be having issues with the US Postal Service at our new home. First it was the graffiti on the house. (It was removed, BTW, after the phone call to the Postmaster General of Wheeling who laughed at me for telling him something so crazy as my delivery dillhole wrote on the side of my freaking house. Then it was me not receiving a package that was mailed to me after an eBay win - it was sitting in Wheeling for over a week...I had to go through the hassle of calling USPS general customer service to register the non-delivery of an item with a tracking number. Now the latest is another eBay item that has been shipped to the house. I was home on Friday when the mail was delivered, but the Delivery Dillhole (DD for short) couldn't have run the bell to get me - that's crazy. So he slipped a little "you weren't here but need to sign for this" notice in the slot - partially - not enough for it to come through on the house side. I didn't see it on Friday. We weren't home on Saturday, so another slip went in the box. This one I saw. I signed both slips and put them out for the Monday pickup & delivery. DD didn't bother to show up at all on Monday. How do I know this - because I was home all freakin' day! When DD does bother to show up, there is a note on the new slip that says the item is too large for the slot and we now have to go to the PO and pick it up. Hey, DD, you couldn't have told us that like say on Friday of last week? Also, the other "Hmmmm" factor - does it cost extra to have your mail delivered 6 days/week? If so, where can I sign up?
Party Planning 101: Don't spoil the surprise! Be sure to check the dates on this announcement that Papa Rick scored from the Times West Virginian for me!

Funny Stuff...
First of all, if you didn't see the Petraeus Hearings skit on SNL featuring WV "Senator" Bob Byrd, you're missing out. Get it here: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v69956042ckrJHPs
Now, some of Elizabeth's recent funnies:
- Yesterday on the drive to Nana's & Papa's, there were a few birds on the road. One bird waited until my car was very close before it flew away. My little back-seat drive said, "Sheeeew. That was a close call!"
- E is obsessed with Boo-Boos. She wants a bandaid on a freckle. She'll kiss anything that resembles a boo-boo. It's really awfully sweet. Last week, she wanted to kiss the boo-boos on Papa's hand. After several kisses, she gave up and told Nana, "Papa's all boo-boos."
- Last weekend, Reid, Elizabeth, and I went to Grandma & Papi's for Mother's Day. Reid was helping Elizabeth get ready for church when she started jumping around (literally) exclaiming, "I love church! I love church!"
- During Mass she was really quite good. She was on her belly on the kneeler "swimming" (albeit quietly.) When she was sitting on the kneeler, she discovered that she could see her own reflection in the back of the pew. Aunt Anne is so proud.

Talk Dirty to Me: A Whole New Meaning to Adobe Reader
Just a little while ago when I was slaving away here at work...I created a PDF from a Women in Project Controls awards application that I was working on. I don't know what shortcut keystroke I used (because I was making the PDF something you could fill out and then send back to me electronically - something I have done a hundred times before.) Anyway, I did something that turned on the feature where Adobe will read your document out loud to you.
Yes, I've since figured out how to turn the feature off...but Christian and I thought it could be hilarious (could just be slap-happy since our main server nearly crashed & burned yesterday if it weren't for some of Christian's McGuiver-hand work...could just be something in the air...) but we thought it would be too, too funny to have Adobe "talk" dirty to you (in it's computer voice.)
If you want to test it out...create a PDF of whatever you want your Adobe to read to you. (I haven't come up with a name for my Adobe yet.) Then when you are viewing the PDF, you will need to go to VIEW, then READ OUT LOUD.
Funny, funny, funny. Try it, you'll like it!

Good joke day
Today, I received two funnies via email that actually made me giggle...this is not typically the case as I tend to receive a whole bunch of stuff that I have seen before...and that didn't make me laugh the first time around. Anyway, I had to share these two - the first from my Mom, the 2nd from one of my AACE amigos, Todd:
God asks Joe Paterno first: "What do you believe?" Joe thinks long and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, "I believe in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends. I believe in giving. I was lucky, but I always tried to do right by my fans." God can't help but see the essential goodness of Paterno, and offers him a seat to his left.
Then God turns to Tom Osborne and says, "What do you believe?" Tom says, "I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the fundamentals of life. I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've always tried to be a true sportsman, both on and off the playing fields." God is greatly moved by Tom's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a seat to his right.
Finally, God turns to Rich Rodriquez: "And you, Rich, what do you believe?" Rich replies, "I believe you're in my seat."
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A man is stumbling through the woods, totally drunk, when he comes upon a preacher baptizing people in the river. He proceeds to walk into the water and subsequently bumps into the preacher. The preacher turns around and is almost overcome by the smell of alcohol, whereupon he asks the drunk, "Are you ready to find Jesus?" The drunk answers, "Yes, I am."
So the preacher grabs him and dunks him in the water. He pulls him up and asks the drunk, "Brother, have you found Jesus?"
The drunk replies, "No, I haven't found Jesus."
The preacher, shocked at the answer, dunks him into the water again for a little longer. He again pulls him out of the water and asks again, "Have you found Jesus, my brother?"
The drunk again answers, "No, I haven't found Jesus."
By this time the preacher is at his wits' end and dunks the drunk in the water again -- but this time holds him down for about 30 seconds, and when he begins kicking his arms and legs, he pulls him up.
The preacher again asks the drunk, "For the love of God, have you found Jesus?"
The drunk wipes his eyes and catches his breath and says to the preacher, "Are you sure this is where he fell in?"

E's funnies
On Tuesday evening, Reid and Chuck were doing the prep-work to install the tub surround in our bathroom (YEA!), so it was just Elizabeth, Kennedy, and me hanging out in the living room.
I smelled a peculiar odor and asked E if she pooped. "Nope," she said - her typical reply. About a minute later, she pulled the back of my jeans with her index finger and looked in that region and said, "You pooped." I get that she has picked this up from me, among others...and I pray this is one of the few lovelies that she picked up from her Mama (but I'm not holding my breath.)
Later that evening (when both of our backsides were clean as a whistle), she scooted HER rocking chair (which before that, despite Anne's attempts at thievery, was MY rocking chair, and before that was PAPI's rocking chair) right in front of the tree - nearly touching the branches. She was admiring several of the ornaments. After about 5 minutes of her rocking in her chair looking at the ornaments she said, "Tree, I watching you." Made me giggle.
